Making your own reed diffuser is a simple DIY project that only takes minutes... and it's so much better for you than store bought reed diffusers that are often filled with synthetic and hormone disrupting fragrance.
To make your own reed diffuser you'll need:
A Glass Container
Reed Diffuser Sticks (available from Essential Oil Accessory Suppliers)
50 drops of Essential Oils (I used doTERRA's Citrus Bliss Blend)
1/4 cup of Carrier Oil (Fractionated Coconut Oil works well)
1 tablespoon of vodka or rubbing alcohol
Mix the ingredients in a glass jug then pour into your container (I repurposed an old reed diffuser bottle!). After a few hours flip the sticks over to help the soak the dry end. You will need to flip the sticks over every week until the aroma completely disappears.
These home-made reed diffusers work well in a small, enclosed room like a bathroom and are much more subtle in aroma than the store bought ones.
